Hello, my name is Juanita Guevara. Thank you for being here today!

I was born in Colombia, and when I was 8 years old, I became a Canadian Citizen and now live in British Columbia. Although Colombia and Columbia have only a letter difference, the opportunities the Lord opened many doors and opportunities in my life by moving to Canada like being able to serve with NET. It has been a gift and such a blessing.

I love spending my free time in activities such as going to lakes, baking or working out, and I strongly enjoy going to retreats because I get to connect with people who seek God in their lives and who pursue their time to nourish their spirit with the splendid reflections and activities provided. Around March 24, 2024, I went to a retreat where I had a message from God confirming NET was the path to take at this moment in my life. We were doing an activity where we had to choose a Bible verse from many Bible verses and I got John 15:16. I was called to join NET, I want to be obedient to the will of God and to his work by being approachable and available to help with the Holy Sprit as many people as the Lord wants me to. I am willing to allow Him to form me through NET and spread the word of God thanks to the opportunity that was offered to me.

This year, I am serving on the Travelling Retreat Team! I am really excited about what this year is going to bring especially for all the youth we will have the opportunity to share how God has been working in our lives and be able to witness the Holy Spirit working in the youth. I am also excited about all the memories that will be created with my team!

Many young people lose their faith by the time they leave high school. NET sends teams of young adults to share their faith in schools and churches, so young people are transformed and re-engaged in their Catholic faith.
