Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

Recently a team member sent our whole team an article about sins we commit that may go unnoticed. One of these sins was worry.

We all worry about something. Big things or little things. We get especially bogged down by worry in this ministry. Worried about the talks we have to give, how much time we have to complete things, our families back home and how much sleep we get. If we focus on what we can’t control, then we become people of fear. Then the fear takes root in our minds and we become worriers. But to worry about such things means worrying about the plans of the Lord. Worrying isn’t evil, necessarily, but to worry about these things doesn’t set us free, either. We need to have faith in Our Creator and trust in His plans for us.

We can’t fulfill our mission to the fullest if most of our day is spent lacking in the faith of the one who sent us out to proclaim His Good News. We control what we think. How we think is the single most determining factor of who we are. Let’s make a decision to place before our heart and mind all our worries and let us get rid of them. We need to put on the whole armor of God. Take up His shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. God has all we need to overcome our trials and tribulations. He needs only one second to work in our lives. Jesus tells us in the Bible not to worry. Don’t have excessive anxiety about things. We need to have the courage to take things as they come and say “Lord, I trust in you, I offer you all these things, help me not to worry about things you control.”

Ephesians 6:18 “Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.”
