Guess who’s back!

It’s a retreat team two back from the break, sending our greetings all the way from black Lake, Saskatchewan. This month has been full of travel days, bonding moments and amazing retreats- we’ve been driving from Ontario to Manitoba to Saskatchewan all in the span of a couple of weeks and every step has been a blast. 

January training was a great refresher for us to get back into ministry and it was amazing to meet up with the supervisors, staff and other team (who we beat at the training games;) and catch up with everyone. All in all the transition from the holidays to the road was great. 

Something that we got to have a go at was a weekend retreat in Le Pas. An undertaking that felt intimidating at first quickly became a weekend full of fun, friendship and God moments. Sure there were challenging moments but God had His hand over everything. 

One really special mission moment happened In Marysville, Ontario- “there was a boy in my small group that said he felt a weight lifted off his shoulders and when I asked him what that weight was- he said all of his stress was taken away. He was so intrigued and couldn’t wait to grow closer to Christ.”

God has been moving in an amazing way in both the youth but also in all of us. We’ve been learning to trust in Him and His plan for us as well as love each other more intentionally. One example of this was when the women of our team honoured the men by setting up a fort, snacks and a movie for the guys to enjoy. We’ve grown so much as a team as we grow closer to Christ and we are so excited for all that’s to come.
